Sony MAX embraces artificial intelligence, to launch TV's 1st NLP based chat bot 'Filmykaant'

New Delhi, Aug 31 (UNI) Staying true to its philosophy of 'Deewana bana de', Sony MAX, from Sony Pictures Networks is all set to amplify the 'Deewanapan'.

In a bid to engage with viewers beyond their television screens, Sony MAX has launched ‘Filmykaant’ - television world’s first-ever artificial intelligence (AI) Chat Bot in India.

Developed with an advanced Natural language processing (NLP) technology with an in-built ability to read Hinglish (a mix of English and Hindi), 'Filmykaant' will engage with nation-wide cinema lovers 24x7.

'Filmykaant' is one stop destination for every Bollywood lover. It is trained with more than 5000 keywords and key phrases to handle user conversation and personifies the personality of MAX, which makes him approachable to the audience.

Always striving to offer the best in entertainment through unique and innovative means, Filmykaant is Sony MAX‘s endeavor towards engaging with its ardent audience beyond the conventional route.

Vaishali Sharma, Head Marketing, Sony MAX Movie Cluster, SAB and PAL said,'The potential of artificial intelligence is stupendous, and when applied aptly, can complement any business manifold. At Sony MAX, our intent is to go beyond our conventional realm of offering the best in entertainment and to offer something that surpasses traditional and social media norms. Filmykaant is our answer to that. It is an interface, an encyclopedia to Hindi cinema, an entertainer and a friend.'

Chetan Asher, CEO, Tonic Worldwide said,'The way users and brands interact is evolving rapidly and nothing better than a messaging platform that offers 'always on' experience. Though Bollywood is huge in the country yet there is no interactive platform that views can connect with. 'Filmykaant' is a one-stop destination for every Bollywood lover. It ignites the Bollywood fan in you. It talks to the users in a language they understand. Humanising the brand to this level is going to help us further build brand consideration.'
