Six held with 5.5 kg gold at Kannur Intl Airport

Kannur, Nov 22 (UNI) The Customs and Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) sleuths seized 5.5 kilograms of gold from six passengers arrived at Kannur International Airport by Air India and GoAir flights on Thursday night, Customs sources said on Friday.
The passengers Muhammed Ameer, Muhammed Nadeer, Mohammed Shafi, Mujeeb, Nahim and Ajmal arrived from Muscat, Dubai and Sharjah were held with smuggled gold following a tip-off, the sources said.
