Singarenians wins India's best company Award

Hyderabad, Feb 15 (UNI) Berkshire Media Private Limited, America’s leading multinational brand consulting and market research firm, on Friday selected Singareni Colleries Limited Company for its Best Company Award for the year 2018.

Singareni Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar to receive the award in Mumbai on March 8, SCCL said in a statement here.

Every year Berkshire Media does a detailed survey and analysis of the performance of Indian Companies and based on the growth and select the best company to present India’s Best Company award.

Previously L & T, Hindustan Lever, Tata Consultancy, Tata Steel, ONGC, Indian Oil Company are some of the organisations who received this prestigious award.

Recognising Singareni for its monumental growth and a Company which contributes to the financial development of the Country, the expert committee selected Singareni Collieries as ‘India’s Best Company’.

In the year 2017-18, Singareni achieved 646 lakh tons of coal transport, 620 lakh tons of coal production and a turnover of Rs 22,667 crores with a profit of Rs 1200 crores.

When compared with the financial year 2013-14 there was a remarkable growth in the year 2017-18, an increase of 34 per cent in coal transport, 22.9 per cent increase in coal production and 186 per cent increase in profits.

In recognition of this achievement Singareni has been awarded as ‘India’s Best Company.

In a statement, Sridhar expressed his happiness for Singareni being selected as ‘India’s Best Company’.

Telangana State under the leadership of the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is surging ahead on the path of growth and is receiving many National awards and praises, similarly with the collective team work of all Singarenians and leadership, Singareni is growing into one of India’s leading Companies.

He said, the award is purely due to the collective effort of all the Singarenians.
