Bengaluru, April 23 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah challenged the notion of a Modi wave sweeping the country during a poll rally here on Tuesday.
Instead, he asserted that the only wave present is the Congress party's 'Guarantee Wave,' emphasising the party's commitment to its guarantee schemes.
"There is no Modi wave across the country. If any wave exists, it's our Guarantee wave," Siddaramaiah declared.
Highlighting his track record during his previous tenure as Chief Minister from 2013 to 2018, he claimed to have fulfilled 158 out of 165 promises and initiated 130 new programs. The CM accused the BJP, which governed Karnataka from 2019 to 2023, of failing to deliver on its promises.
Siddaramaiah also launched a scathing attack on JDS and its patriarch, former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, over their "unholy alliance" with the BJP. He accused the BJP of spreading misinformation about the Congress guarantee schemes and vowed that these schemes would continue uninterrupted.
The public meeting, where Siddaramaiah made these remarks, was also addressed by Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
