New Delhi, May 29 (UNI) Bollywood houses a number of celebrities who go above and beyond to lend a helping hand to those in need.

While celebs like Aamir Khan and Salman Khan run their own NGOs and foundations, young stars Shraddha Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have been donating clothes anonymously to help charitable institutions.



Shraddha has been associated with a plethora of social causes including animal welfare. The actress feels happy whenever she is able to help anyone in any possible way.



"Anything that I can do to help alleviate hunger, I contribute there. I am also involved with animal welfare. I feel a great sense of happiness when I am able to help anyone in any possible way,' Shraddha said.



While Shraddha donates the amount collected by bidding her clothes to an animal welfare, Alia Bhatt raises money for creating awareness around ecological issues.



Alia said, “We’ve all been faced with the oh-so-sad and tricky challenge of having to get rid of the clothes that we’ve loved but not having a clue what to do with them. I recently found myself in this exact situation and that’s how ‘Mi Wardrobe is Su Wardrobe’ was born.”



For the uninitiated, The ‘Mi Wardrobe is Su Wardrobe’ was a closet-cleaning event for a cause which took place on May 19 and 20.



Shraddha also emphasised that anyone can do charity, we don’t need to be in a position of power to be able to do charity.



She further added," I think that it doesn’t matter if you’re a celebrity or someone who is affluent. Everybody should try and give back. We are all very blessed to have food, shelter, loved ones in our lives. So, we should try to spread the love".



Bollywood actors wear the best of designer clothes both onscreen and off screen. They get expensive outfits from all top brands as gifts, some of those remain unworn.

Shraddha and Alia have decided to put them to good use, and we respect them for their innovative efforts.
