SGRH completes 1000 Vascular Surgery cases in Artis Q Hybrid OR

New Delhi, Oct 4 (UNI) The Institute of vascular and endovascular sciences at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital (SGRH) has successfully completed 1000 cases of vascular surgery in Artis Q Hybrid OR.
Addressing mediapersons here on Friday, Sanjay David, Head of Advanced Therapies at Siemens Healthineers, said "The excellent team at SGRH with Artis Q Hybrid OR has set a benchmark in Vascular Surgery offering unmatched clinical expertise and cutting edge technologies."
The hospital set up a high-end Hybrid Operating Room (HOR) equipped with Artis Q angiography system with a surgical table from Siemens Healthineers for vascular applications in November 2018.
It is possible to perform complex procedures using Artis Q Hybrid OR with fusion imaging capability, to ensure optimal endovascular repair. Hybrid OR combines both open surgery and endovascular intervention therapies in a single stage rather than subjecting patients to repeated procedures.
"Our motto is to achieve excellence in the field of Vascular Surgery which is only possible by good surgical and endovascular techniques along with latest state-of-the-art equipment to produce results comparable to the best centers of the world," said Dr Varinder S Bedi, Chairman, Institute of Vascular and Endovascular Sciences, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.
Artis Q angiography system offers unparalleled performance with the new powerful X-ray tube for high contrast resolution at any angle for any patient size and is floor mounted ensuring maximum hygiene in the OR.
"With Artis Q, we have proven confidence to further enhance and extend the clinical advantages of this technology to the patients,” Dr Bedi said.
The high-dynamic range (HDR) detector enables enhanced image quality in advanced 3D imaging resulting up to 70 per cent better visibility of small vessels. It delivers innovative applications offering precision for enhanced guidance during interventional procedures during surgery.
