Mumbai, Dec 7 (UNI) The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday went up by 198 points to 35,510.31 snapping a downward trend of last three sessions, folloing fresh buying in
Energy, FMCG, Finance, Industrials, Bankex and Capital Goods stocks.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too rose by 34.80 points to 10,635.95.
The sensex registered intra day high and low at 35,553.46 and 35,415.71 points.
The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 10,655.75 and 10,619.40.
The sectoral indices like Energy, FMCG, Finance, Industrials, Bankex and Capital Goods stocks pushed the equity market in early trade.
The gainers were Kotak Bank by 9.94 pc to Rs 1299, Asian Paints by 2.15 pc to Rs 1322.90, Powergrid by 1.61 pc to Rs 186.25, Infosys by 1.28 pc to Rs 676.75.
The losers were Yes Bank by 2.53 pc to Rs 164.05, IndusInd Bank by 1.74 pc to Rs 1542.40, NTPC by 1.22 pc to Rs 137.45 and Coal India by 1.18 pc to Rs 237.85.
