Mumbai, Dec 11 (UNI) The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday surged by 145 points to 33,395.52 as most of thestocks were in green in opening trade.
Brokers said buying by domestic institutional investors (DIIs) and a firm trend at other Asian bourses improved the market sentiment The Nifty of National Stocks Exchange (NSE) too advanced by 37.60 points to 10,303.25.
Expcept, Telecom and Metal all other sectoral Indicies were opened in green.
The gainers were M & M by 2.38 pc to Rs 1422, Lupin by 1.86 pc to Rs 835.30, ITC by 1.76 pc to Rs 266.30, HDFC by 1.48 pc to Rs 1702 and Wipro by 1.43 pc to Rs 287.30.
The losers were Adani Ports by 1.20 pc to Rs 387.90, Hind Unilver by 0.58 pc to Rs 1319 and ONGC by 0.55 pc to Rs 179.30.
