Mumbai, Jul 16 (UNI) The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday gained further by 99.93 points at 38,996.64 in opening trade as renewed buying was seen in health care, bankex consumer durable and telecom stocks amid positive global cues.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too moved up by 29 points to 11,618.15.
The sectoral indices that kept the market firm were material, energy, finance, utilities, realty, consumer durable and power stocks.
The gainers were Tata Motors DVR by 3.35 pc to Rs 80.30, Tata Motors by 3.01 pc to Rs 165.80, Yes Bank by 1.72 pc to Rs 94.80, NTPC by 1.64 pc to Rs 130 and ONGC by 1.39 pc to Rs 153.15.
The losers were TCS by 1.64 pc to Rs 2110, HeroMoto Corp by 1.27 pc to Rs 2555.80, M & M by 1.10 pc to rs 624.70 and HCL Technologies by 0.91 pc to Rs 1018.
