Secretary, Defence Production, visits GSL

Panaji, Nov 13 (UNI) Dr Ajay Kumar, IAS, Secretary, Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, Government of India, visited Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) at Vasco in South Goa on November 10-11, 2018.
According to a statement from the GSL on Tuesday, during the visit, the Secretary (Defence Production) laid the keel for 4th Coast Guard Offshore Petrol Vessel (OPV), under construction at GSL and inaugurated the Foreign Specialist Accommodation at Chicalim for MCMV Project and Advanced Missile Frigate Project.
He was briefed by Rear Admiral Shekhar Mital, NM, IN (Retd), CMD, GSL, on progress of ongoing five Coast Guard Offshore Patrol Vessel (CGOPV) Project being undertaken by GSL for Indian Coast Guard as well as the ambitious ongoing Shipyard Modernisation Program at GSL.

Karaikal and Kerala and Mahe; at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya, east Uttar Pradesh and Telangana; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at most places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and Rayalaseema; at many places over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad; at a few places over Chhattisgarh and Lakshadweep; at isolated places over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, west Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Saurashtra and Kutch, Vidarbha, Konkan and Goa and Andaman and Nicobar Islands and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 44.0°C was reported at Kothagudem (Telangana) over the country.
