States » East » CAEPosted at: May 14 2019 7:17PM Scuffle happened between TMC' student wing and ABVP in front University of Calcutta gate on College StreetKolkata, May 14 (UNI) Police resorted to mild lathi charge to disperse the warring supporters between BJP and TMC student wing activists in front of University of Calcutta gate on College Street while BJP president Amit Shah roadshow was passing through.Scores of students, allegiance to TMC holding black flags and shouted slogan Amit Shah go back for hours while many ABVP supporters outside the university the gate was chanting jay sree ram to outdo the opponent.This went on for hours while police divided the opposition with putting up iron barricades. But the situation worsen when Amit Shah road was passing the point and the BJP supporters broke the barricades and chased the TMC students prompting the police to close the university gate and resorted to mild lathi charge.
