Screening of wildlife series 'Serengeti' by Sony BBC Earth held in Delhi

New Delhi, Sep 14 (UNI) Sony BBC Earth, recently premiered the mega-series, 'Serengeti', a six-part series set in the popular national park of Africa, by the same name.

Shot across the lush grasslands of Africa, this pioneering series follows the interconnected stories of a cast of iconic savannah animals and is full of real-life drama, fast-paced intensity and nail-biting tension.

For the first time, Sony BBC Earth hosted an exclusive screening of the first episode of 'Serengeti' at India Habitat Centre, Delhi.

The screening was open to one and all animal lovers, wildlife enthusiasts and connoisseurs as it offered a sneak peek into the African wilderness in Serengeti. The unique initiative was to extend Sony BBC Earth's brand promise of 'feel alive' and to offer an experience like never-before.

Narrated by the award-winning British actor (of Star Wars fame) John Boyega, the series is about love and loss, jealousy and rivalry, tragedy and triumph, as the lives of these animals entangle and dramatically unfold in the heart of Africa.

Using ground-breaking filming techniques and an original music score to put you at the heart of the action, Serengeti brings real-life animal drama to the screen in an intimate and breath-taking detail.

Featuring the most iconic and unique animal species from the rich grasslands of Africa, 'Serengeti' piqued audience's interest in a blink. Everyone present was wowed by the larger than life, break-taking visuals and the fast paced, intense drama and action.

The episode met with a resounding applause from the audience, leading them to watch the remaining episodes, available in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, only on Sony BBC Earth.

Vidyun Singh, Director Programmes, India Habitat Centre said,"Sony BBC Earth is known for its breath-taking storytelling - an experience that's even better when seen on the big screen. The audience thoroughly enjoyed it! Having been to Serengeti myself, it was also a walk down memory lane to relive the magic of pristine wildlife. I think content like this needs to be watched by people of all ages.'
