Hyderabad, Jan 21 (UNI) Telangana state-owned Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has set a target of 10 lakh tonnes of coal production from the ‘ Naini’ coal block in Odisha from the next financial year 2021-22.
SCCL Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar said that all arrangements are being made for achieving the target from the Naini coal block which is to be started by Singareni.
The Naini coal block, which was allotted to Singareni earlier by the Central government, would be a boon for it and from the total of 340 million tonnes coal reserves of this block at a rate of 10 million tonnes per year, coal would be produced for the next 38 years.

Additional District Magistrate Santosh Kumar Pradhan headed the Naini coal block people’s opinion survey program at Angul District, where people’s opinion was sought under the supervision of Sub Collector Basudev Satpadhi and Pollution control board Regional officer (Angul) Anup Kumar Malik.
