SC directs Mah to constitute medical board at KEM Hospital

New Delhi, Jul 22(UNI) The Supreme Court today directed the Maharashtra government to constitute a medical board at KEM Hospital in Mumbai to examine the rape victim whether the woman victim could be fit for her termination of her 24-week-old pregnancy on grounds of an abnormal foetus or not.
A division bench of the apex court, headed by Justices Jagdish Singh Khehar and Arun Mishra asked the Maharashtra government to submit a detailed report on Monday.
The apex court also asked the victim to appear before the board at 1000 hrs tomorrow so that she could be examined to ascertain whether the foetus can be terminated or not.
