SC asks to cap higher monetary value for BCCI's contracts
New Delhi, Oct 21 (UNI) The Supreme Court in its interim order today said that Justice Lodha panel would fix a limit on monetary value of contracts the Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) can enter into. A bench of the apex court, headed by Chirf Justice T S Thakur passed the interim order. The SC' order would affect the award of contract for IPL and other tournaments as the top court empowered the panel to fix a ceiling. The court also asked the BCCI to apprise ICC chairman Shashank Manohar of court orders. "The state cricket associations can't get any money from the BCCI until they follow and duly implement the recommendations of the Justice Lodha committee", the court held. The court also asked the panel to appoint an independent auditor to scrutinise accounts of BCCI. UNI XC SS
