Bengaluru, Apr 14 (UNI) Mumbai Indians pulled off an improbable win against RCB by four wickets in a topsy turvy league game with Kairon Pollard rebutting critics with a 47-ball 70. RCB debutant, who came at the cost of seasoned Shane Watson claimed a hatrick to reduce Mumbai to four wickets for seven runs but a steady batting resurrection by Pollard and the company and a weak bowling thereafter by RCB helped the visitors win at the end. This has been the case for the RCB that has suffered for wont it weak bowling and this came afire after Samuel Badree, who opened the bowling attack returned with a figure of 4-1-09-4. But thereafter the RCB bowling and fielding outfit wilted under the pressure of Pollard and the Pandya brothers. With Mumbai Indians down at 35 for 5 in the 8th over, at the ouster of prolific Nitish Rana (11), Pollard who hit five sixes and three boundaries was associated in a game changing and Kunal Pandya (37) adding 93 runs in 57 balls that changed the game and Mumbai were on course of an easy win. Despite Pollarde dismissed caught by De Villers in the 18th over, he had already put Mumbai on course of an easy win. Earlier Virat Kohli scored a scintillating 62 off 47 balls hitting two six and five boundaries after returning to action from an injury. His welcome return as not reciprocated as the other top RCB batsmen Chris Gayle (27) and AB de Villers (19) struggled at the centre, on a slow pitch.
