SaffronStays plans to on-board 40 exclusive homes by December end

Mumbai, Oct 23 (UNI) SaffronStays, a micro-hospitality collective which has clocked over a million USD in revenues and hosted over 6,000 families in a short span of less than 19 months since its launch, on Monday announced that they plan to get onboard 40 exclusive homes (over 200 rooms) by the end of December.
SaffronStays, which started in October 2015 with just one home at Matheran, has grown exponentially ever since and is currently operational around Mumbai, Pune, Goa and a few chosen locations in Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu.
Plans are afoot to rapidly expand to most parts of the country, without compromising on quality of experience offered. Currently, they have 28 homes and plan to onboard 40 exclusive homes by the end of December.
Their goal is to have over 2,000 homes managed and branded by SaffronStays in the next 5 to 7 years. SaffronStays presently has properties in Bhugaon, Murud, Alibaug, Kihim, Dapoli, Mulshi, Matheran, Panchgani, Karjat, Khopoli, Gholvad, Kamshet, Lavasa, Panvel, Goa, Kodaikanal, Ooty, Gwaldham and Jaipur.
Every home goes through a rigorous 100-point checklist before even being considered to join the network, and a rigorous onboarding process, that involves upgrades to every aspect from tasteful interiors to landscaping, from staffing and their training to technology deployment, to deployment of the processes and methods is
undertaken.
Announcing their plans here, Devendra Parulekar, co-founder of SaffronStays, said, "SaffronStays wishes to be the dominant managed vacation rentals company for the discerning Indian traveller.
...Having achieved unit-level and even transaction-level profitability, we think it is time to raise some serious money to rapidly scale the business. We are looking to raise 20 million USD to fund these expansion plans. A large part of the investment raised will be invested in our technology backbone, expanding our network
of exclusive homes across the world and also establishing a world-class brand."
Ms Tejas Parulekar, founder, said, "An aspirational, upwardly-mobile traveller today considers a vacation rental as a preferred option over traditional hotels, considering the unique Staycation experience alongside the privacy and exclusivity offered by a heritage or a luxe bungalow, in a stunning countryside estate."
