Mumbai, Dec 11 (UNI) The Rupee on Monday further rose by eight paise

to 64.36 against the US Dollar on brisk selling of US Dollars by

bankers and exporters, dealers at Forex Market said.

The domestic unit opened tad higher by one paisa at 64.55 per

dollar in early trade. Till the end of the session it gained eight

paise to 64.36 as compared to its last close.

High fluctuation was witnessed during the day as it registered

day high and low at 64.46 and 64.31 respectively.

Weak Dollar against other world currencies and robust equity

market pushed the indian currency up, they added.

On Friday, the rupee had gained 11 paise to end at 64.44 on fresh

selling of the American currency amid unwinding of long dollar bets

ahead of release of key US macro data.
