Rupee slid by 51 paise against USD

Mumbai, Dec 11 (UNI) The Rupee on Tuesday slid further by 51 paise
to 71.85 on brisk demand for the greenback by bankers and importers,
dealers at Forex Market said.
The domestic unit tumbled down by 70 paise to 72.04 versus
the Dollar in opening trade. Till the end of the session it slightly
improved from opening level and finished negative at 71.85, down by
51 paise as compared to its last close.
It recorded day low and high at 72.01 and 71.47 respectively.
Firm dollar against other world currencies kept the Indian
currency down, they added.
