Rupee down by 29 paise against USD

Mumbai, Feb 20 (UNI) The Rupee on Tuesday heavily down by 29 paise to 64.50 against the greenback in early trade on rising demand for US Dollars by bankers and importers, dealers at Forex Market said.

Strong dollar against other world curriencies put the indian currency under pressure, dealers added

A fluctuation was seen during intra day as it registered the day's high and low at 64.52 and 64.40 respectively, they added.
