RT-PCR reports mandatory for people coming to Meghalaya

Shillong, Dec 2 (UNI) With concern over the new COVlD "Variant of Concern - Omicron" that has been detected in some parts of the world, the Meghalaya government has made RT-PCR negative reports mandatory for people coming to the State, as "there is every likelihood for the threat of surge in new infections, through imported cases, even in Meghalaya".
As per the revised entry protocol, which has come into force, it is mandatory for all persons entering Meghalaya to register themselves prior to their travel at http.//meqhalayaonline.gov. in/covid/testing.htm and to download the Arogya Setu App and the Behavioural Change Management App of Meghalaya from Google play store or App Store.
Tourists are required to register on the Meghalaya portal at https://meghalaya.gov.in/ to generate the 'e-invite for Tourists'
