RLD workers take hot sand bath to protest against pollution

Mathura, June 21 (UNI) Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) workers took hot sand bath at Cheer Ghat in Vrindavan to protest against increasing pollution in river Yamuna.
Former RLD city president Tarachandra Goswami alleged that Uttar Pradesh government was failed to provide adequate water in river Yamuna at auspicious festival of Ganga Dashahara. He said that thousands of devotees will take holy dip in river Yamuna but there is no clean water.
Mr Goswami said that Union Minister Uma Bharati had announced that river Yamuna will be clean under Namami Gange project but after four years of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) at the Centre, no initiatives were taken in this area.
