Revoke suspension of Dr Nisar ul Hassan: DAK

Srinagar, May 27 (UNI) Terming the continued suspension of its president unjustified and illegal, the Doctors Association Kashmir on Sunday demanded immediate revocation of suspension of Dr Nisar ul Hassan.
DAK spokesperson Riyaz Ahmad Daga said the protracted suspension of Dr Hassan is against Supreme Court's judgement wherein a government employee cannot be kept under suspension for more than 90 days, if he or she is not formally informed about the charges.
The Apex court in a judgement has said there should be an end to the practice of putting an employee on indefinite suspension as he or she has to face insinuation, scorn and derision before being formally charged.

Patna, Apr 26 (UNI) Scorching heat appears to have affected polling percentage during the second phase of Lok Sabha elections in five seats in Bihar, as only 58.58 percent electorate exercised their franchise compared to 62.92 percent in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, which is 4.34 percent less this year.
