Restrictions on visiting Sabarimala hill shrine lifted

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 13 (UNI) Restrictions imposed on visiting the Lord Ayyappa shrine at Sabarimala following the deluge have been lifted and would facilitate the entry of devotees, when the temple opens for monthly puja in the Malayalam month 'Kanni' (on September 16), official sources said.
Nilakkal will become the base camp of Sabarimala and private vehicles, including two-wheelers of devotees would not be permitted to proceed to Pampa as Pampa Manalpuram on the foothills of Sabarimala that houses toilets, hotels and shops have been damaged in the floods.
The Kerala State Road Transport Corparation (KSRTC) would arrange buses to transport devotees from Nilakkal to Pampa at the foothills.
