Renowned senior astronomer Prof Bhosale no more

Kolhapur, Jun 14 (UNI) Renowned senior astronomer Prof Rajaram Vishnu alias RV Bhosale, passed away on Sunday afternoon from old age at his resident in Mahagaokar Complex, Takala area in Rajarampuri, a suburb of the city.
He was 92.
Born on November 12, 1928, at Bastavade village of Kagal tehsil of this district, Dr Bhosale after completing his primary and college education in Kolhapur, joined as a research assistant at Figical Research Laboratory of late Dr Vikram Sarabhai in Ahemdabad. After completing his PhD, he made the first telescope of the country.
