Removal of huge deposits of sand, debris from pampa river resumes

Pathanamthitta, Jun 5 (UNI) The removal of huge deposits of sand and debris from Pampa river resumed here after Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan dismissed Forest Department's objections.
Pathanamthitta District Collector P M Nooh personally oversaw the operations carried out by District Disaster Management Authority.
In all, 146 truckloads of sand were shifted ashore. However, there is no decision so far on what needs to be done with the sand.
