Relative kills college student; surrenders before police

Hyderabad, Oct 7 (UNI) A 19-year-old college student was allegedly beaten to death by her close relative who later surrendered before the police.
Soumya of Jeedimetla was pursuing degree course in a private college at Chinthal.
Furious over his girlfriend Soumya getting close to another, Krishaniah, her uncle's son, thrashed her to death last evening at HMT colony.
He threw the body into the IDL tank in Kukatpally and surrendered before the Kukatpally police station.
When Soumya did not return, her parents lodged a complaint at the Jeedimetla Police station last evening. Police have registered a case and further investigation is on.
