Dubai, Dec 22 (UNI) Ace Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has been declared the International Cricket Council (ICC) Cricketer of the Year here today for scalping 48 wickets and tallying 336 runs in eight tests during the voting period. Ashwin who occupied the top spot in the ICC Test bowlers rankings, achieved the august Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy, and became the third Indian after Rahul Dravid (2004) and Sachin Tendulkar (2010). He also clinched the ICC Test Cricketer of the Year, and became the second Indian after Dravid (2004) to win both the acclaimed awards in the same year.
