Ram Mandir foundation : Delhi BJP chief offers prayers at Valmiki temple, lights 101 diyas

New Delhi, Aug 5 (UNI) On the occasion of the foundation stone laying of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Delhi BJP Chief Adesh Gupta on Wednesday offered prayers at the Valmiki Temple in Delhi's Mandir Marg area and lit 101 earthen lamps to mark the beginning of the 'deepotsav'.
Mr Gupta said ' Lord Valmiki with his penance had obtained such powers from Lord Brahma that he could see the past , present and future of Lord Sri Ram's life and wrote the epic Ramayana for all of us to witness the life of Lord Ram.'
Delhi BJP leaders across the city at different temples offered prayers on the occasion.
