Ram Gopal to be removed as SP RS leader; Beni in race for coveted post

Lucknow, Oct 25 (UNI) Sacked Samajwadi Party leader is all set to replace Ram Gopal Yadav as the party leader in Rajya Sabha soon and senior party leader Beni Prasad Verma is likely to replace him, a senior party leader said here today.
SP president Mulayam Singh Yadav has expressed displeasure over the statement made by Ram Gopal in New Delhi today and closed all doors for his re-entry. Talking to media persons here today, Mulayam said "I don't want to hear his name."
At present, SP has 18 members in the upper house. His name plate was also removed from the party's Delhi office and in view of the mounting pressure from the party, Ram Gopal could resign from Rajya Sabha.
