Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 14 (UNI) Congress President-elect Rahul Gandhi will visit Ockhi Cyclone affected areas here and at Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu on Thursday.
The Congress President will visit Poonthura, Vizhinjam here and Chinnathurai in Kanyakumari and call on the affected fishermen community in these areas as the death toll is rising daily following the finding of many decomposed bodies from various coastal areas in the State.
After his visit in Kanyakumari, he will attend the birth centenary celebrations of late RSP leader Baby John here this afternoon. Later, he would attend the conclusion of party's campaign 'Padayorukkam' led by opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala. Earlier it was cancelled due to cyclone on December one.
