Rahul takes dig at Centre over report of increase in number of 'poor' in country

New Delhi, Nov 7 (UNI) Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Sunday took a dig on the BJP-led government at the Centre over a media report, which claimed a rapid increase in the number of 'poor' in the country in the last eight years and asked where are those who used to say 'acche din' (good days) were coming.
"Those earlier in the middle class group are now poor. Those in poor category before are now being crushed. Where are those people, who used to say 'acche din' (good days) are coming?," Gandhi tweeted in an apparent reference to BJP's 'acche din' rhetoric.
The Congress leader also tagged the media report, which claimed a rapid increase in the number of 'poor' in India in the last eight years.
