New Delhi, Jan 23 (UNI) Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi has debuted senior party leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda to resolve matters in the Mumbai Congress. Senior Congress leader Gurudas Kamat said Mr Hooda would meet all factions of the Mumbai Congress on January 25. 'Office Of RG just informed me, he has deputed Ex Haryana CM Bhoopinder Hooda to resolve matters in Mum Congress, who will meet all on Jan 25,' Mr Kamat said in a tweet. The Mumbai Congress is facing factionalism ahead of the civic polls. Mr Kamat has withdrawn from the candidate selection committee. In a major jolt to the Congress, its former MLA Krishna Hegde recently joined the BJP. Mr Hegde blamed Mumbai Congress chief Sanjay Nirupam for ignoring loyalists, which led to his exit. “Those who worked against the party in the Assembly elections are being favoured, while loyalists are sidelined. If the party does not want my services, it is better that I quit,” said Mr Hegde. UNI AR SV ADG 1056
