Nashik, Jan 26 (UNI) Maharashtra Minister of State (MoS) for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Chhagan Bhujbal unfurled the tricolour at Police Parade Ground here on Sunday to commemorate the 71st Republic Day.
Being the Guardian Minister of this district, MoS Bhujbal took the salute of ceremonial parade presented by Army, Naval and Air Wings of Bhosla Military School, Police, Homeguard, City Transport, Forest Department, Fire Brigade as well as Ashwadal.
Speaking on the occasion, the MoS averred that the government was committed to solve the problems of farmers and workers.
"The Maha Vikas Aghadi government have provided great relief to the farmers in the form of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Farmer Debt Relief Scheme 2019," he added.
Speaking further, he said, "The district administration has completed the proceedings of the farm loan waiver scheme in short time."
"One lakh thirty six thousand farmers of the district are eligible for the scheme," he apprised.
Ahead of launching the 'Shiv Bhojan Thali', the MoS stated that this pilot project of providing food to the needy at meagre Rs 10 will be expanded.
Discussing the administrative accomplishments of this district, he told, "With the inclusion of 81 more services under the Right To Service Act, Nashik becomes the first and only district in the State to hold such distinction."
"A Chief Minister's Secretariat Room set up at the divisional level will solve problems of the citizens in less time," he mentioned.
Collector Suraj Mandhare, Special Inspector General of Police Chhoring Dorje, District Superintendent of Police Dr Aarti Singh, Commissioner of Police Biswas Nangare Patil, Deputy Commissioner Rajaram Mane, Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishna Gamme, and other dignitaries were present at the event.
