Qatar will host 2019 and 2020 FIFA Club World Cup

Paris, Jun 4 (UNI) FIFA has appointed Qatar as the host of the FIFA Club World Cup in 2019 and 2020 to function as test events for the next FIFA World Cup in 2022.
Qatar will host the 2019 and 2020 editions of the Club World Cup in its existing seven-team format, with a revamped edition of the tournament featuring 24 teams to be played from 2021 onwards, FIFA confirmed on Monday.
The decision to give Qatar the Club World Cup came two weeks after FIFA settled on 32 countries for the 2022 World Cup rather than expanding to 48 teams.
