New Delhi, Jan 18 (UNI) Former BJP MP, senior journalist and Resident Editor of leading Hindi newspaper Punjab Kesari, Ashwini Kumar Chopra, passed away at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram on Saturday.
He was 63. He had long health concerns. He is survived by wife and three sons.
Chopra got elected to the 16th Lok Sabha from Karnal as BJP candidate. Prior to entering journalism full-time, he played under the name of Ashwini Minna for Punjab in the Ranji Trophy.
He was born on June 11, 1956 in Jalandhar.
