Punjab Education Min orders change in school timings

Chandigarh, May 19 (UNI) Punjab Education Minister Aruna Chaudhary today ordered the change in timings of all Government, Private, Aided and Recognised schools of the State.

In a statement here, the Minister said that the timings of all the primary schools have been changed from 0730 hrs to 1200 noon while the middle, high and senior secondary schools would function from 0730 hrs to 1230 noon.
She said that the timings would be effective from May 20.

Ms Chaudhary also directed the Department to intimate the changed timings to all the Circle Education Officers (CEOs), District Education Officers (DEOs), Block Primary Education Officers (BPEOs) and school heads.

Meanwhile, the Education Department has issued notification today concerning summer vacations from June 1 to June 30.
