Puducherry DC directs roadside vendors to self-remove encroachment

Puducherry, Nov 12 (UNI) Puducherry District Collector on Tuesday called up on the road side vendors, who indulged in encroachment to remove the obtrusion on their own.

Mr Arun said in a statement that if they failed, an inter-departmental team would evict the encroachments and a fine would be imposed on them, too.

He said, "Encroachments on several roads were demolished on three earlier occasion. However, reports state that the roads were occupied again and therefore another drive would be in action from Nov 14."
