Public lecture held in Delhi to raise awareness on colorectal cancer

New Delhi, Mar 3 (UNI) In an effort to raise awareness about colorectal cancer in India, Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals in collaboration with Colo Rectal Cancer Research Foundation (CRCRF) hosted a public lecture here on the ‘Rising trend of colorectal cancer in India and how to curb it’ .
The awareness programme, which was organised by the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery and GI oncology, Apollo Hospital, Delhi on March 1, detailed the risk, present status, newer operative techniques and specialised surgical procedures performed on the colon and rectum which are parts of the large intestine, a statement said.
The meeting was attended by large number of senior citizens, doctors, surgeons and specialists in the field of gastrointestinal surgery.
