Pro Kabaddi: Puneri Paltan hurls U Mumba off the mat in second match, wins 33-21

Hyderabad, Jul 28 (UNI) In the second match of the inaugural evening of the VIVO Pro Kabaddi Season 5, the Puneri Paltan hammered out the U Mumba by 33-21 here at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium. The Maharashtra derby saw the Puneri Paltan's come out all guns blazing as they beat U Mumba. An all-round performance from the Pune raiders and defenders helped them emerge victorious. The 'captain cool' Anup Kumar started with a bonus in the first minute. However, Paltan's fast and aggressive strategy gave them a 6-1 lead in eight minutes reducing Mumba to two players. In the 10th minute Pune registered the first all-out of the match to lead 11-4 despite Anup Kumar's two points in the previous minute. Pune continued their blistering force to race away to 13-4 after 12 minutes. U Mumba got their first tackle point as they trailed 7-13 in the 13th minute. However, two sensational tackles from Paltan's concluded the first half in their favour 17-10. Deepak Niwas Hooda scored the first super raid of the season in the 25th minute as Puneri Paltan led 25-10 in the second half. Pune's sheer dominance left the U Mumba team trailing by 14-27 after 30 minutes. The Paltan's kept building their pressure on the U Mumba defence registering a dominating win over the rivals.
