Priyanka Chaturvedi left Congress for career progression: Surjewala

New Delhi, Apr 19 (UNI) Reacting to former Congress spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi resigning from all party posts and joining the Shiv Sena, the Congress on Friday termed it as a matter of pain and said the people always look for career progression.
Addressing a press conference here, Congress Media In-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala said, "Every time a party member leaves, it's a matter of pain for us. People look for career progression.We wish all of them well, including Priyanka Chaturvedi...I must frankly and on record concede, yes, it's a reflection on my leadership." Earlier, she had hit out at the Congress for reinstating UP party workers who allegedly misbehaved with her.
In a letter to party president Rahul Gandhi, Ms Chaturvedi - face of the party on news channels -- tendered her resignation from all posts and the primary membership of the Congress.
