Prime minister should not have avoided the parliament during debate on Rafale deal: Deve Gowda

Bengaluru, Jan 5 (UNI) Taking a dig at the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for staying away from Parliament during a debate on the Rafale fighter jet, former prime minister H D Deve Gowda said that “It will not augur well for the Parliamentary Institution'.
Addressing a press conference here today, Mr Gowda said that “When the prime minister was facing a volley of charges from the Opposition on the Rafale deal, Modi had fielded the defence minister to answer instead of coming to the defence of his government”.
