Prez, V-P greet people on eve of Buddha Purnima

New Delhi, May 17 (UNI) President Ram Nath Kovind and Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Friday greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of ‘Buddha Purnima’ saying that his teachings had become even more relevant in the present times.
In his message on the eve of Buddha Purnima, the President said “the values of non-violence, peace, compassion and service to humanity embodied in the teachings of Lord Buddha have profoundly influenced human history and the course of civilisation. These teachings have become even more relevant in the present times.
May Lord Buddha’s message infuse our thoughts, words and deeds and guide us towards greater compassion, love and fraternity”.
