Prez accepts resignations of five ministers
New Delhi, Jul 5 (UNI) President Pranab Mukherjee today accepted resignations of five Ministers on the advice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who affected a major rejig in his Council of Ministers. An official communique issued by the Rashtrapati Bhawan said the President, as advised by the Prime Minister, has accepted the resignation of members -- Nihal Chand, R S Katheria, Prof Sanwar Lal Jat, Mansukhbhai Vasava and Mohan Kundaria – from the Union Council of Ministers with immediate effect. One of the ministers, who was dropped from the government, was Sanwar Lal Jat, Minister of State for Water Resources and River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation. The second Minister to be relived was Mohanbhai Kalyanjibhai Kundariya, who was Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. Nihal Chand was Minister of State for Panchayati Raj. Mansukhbhai Dhanjibhai Vasava was Minister of State for Tribal Affairs while Ram Shankar Katheria was working as deputy to Human Resource Minister Smriti Irani. UNI RG/MK SW SB 1547
