Kolkata, May 24 (UNI) Fresh fighting in post-result related violence

rocked parts of West Bengal in which a person died in a bomb blast.

Unidentified miscreants torched and vandalised markets and destroyed

homes, especially trouble torn Kakinara in Barrackpore and elsewhere

dozen of people sustained wounds in politics related clashes.

Unidentified miscreants torched some shops, vandalised some dozen at

Line Busty last night, hours after BJP candidates Arjun Singh

and his son Pawan were declared winners from Barrackpore Lok Sabha

seat and Bhatpara bypoll election respectively.

Arjun Singh, who visited the troubled torn market area of Naya Bazar said

the TMC goons continued to attack the common people to create terror

since May 19, was the last phase of poll, to lord over the area.

He said the local residents including the Sahoo Samaj was organising

the community services by giving shelter and food to over 100

displaced persons.Yet the local administration remained mute spectator

even as the miscreants and ruffians were organising crimes during nights.

To a question he said the BJP did not believe in violence despite

attacks were coming from the TMC side after debacle in polls, both

assembly and parliament.

A separate report from Cooch Behar said a TMC office at Setai was

burned down this morning by a group of unidentified people.

The TMC leadership charged the BJP with setting fire in their office at

Setai, a day after BJP candidate Nitish Pramanik was declared winner

from Cooch Behar LS seat.

It was alleged that scores of people came on motor cycles while

celebrating the victory, and a section of them torched the TMC office,

which was denied by the BJP.

Miscreants also ransacked the house of TMC block president at Setai in

Cooch Behar which has been witnessing violent clashes for past six weeks

since the first phase poll held on April 11.

Fighting also happened at Basirhat between TMC and BJP where some

people sustained wounds. Many of them have been admitted to

Toofanganj hospital.

A BJP supporter was thrashed after he raised slogan Jay Sree Ram at

Kalna in Burdwan.

It was also reported that some TMC supporters using bamboo thrashed a BJP

supporter in Balinda village. The injured has been admitted to Kalna Mahakuma hospital.
