Pondy LG Greets Doctors on National Doctors day

Puducherry, Jul 1 (UNI) Lt.Governor Kiran Bedi greeted the doctors community on behalf of the people of Puducherry and on behalf of the Raj Nivas on 'National Doctors Day” on Wednesday.

In a whatsapp posting, she thanked all the doctors who are saving the lives in Puducherry and around the country.

”We cannot thank them enough for the lives they are saving. They are serving in very very harsh conditions and yet they continue to work for hours together', Ms Bedi added.

The Lt Governor said the best way to express our gratitude to them is to take care of our own health, to prevent catching COVID-19 by masking ourselves, by maintaining social distancing, by cleaning our hands and also downloading Aarogya setu app in our smart phones.

Our biggest tribute to the doctors, “the COVID warriors in White” would be self-immunity, self-help, self-care, self-distancing and self-masking, she said.

The Lt Governor also thanked all health staff, including nurses, sanitary staff, and ASHA workers who render support to the doctors.
