Puducherry, Jan 26(UNI)Condemning the police hurling tear gas shells and resorting to lathi charge on the farmers who took out a tractor rally in Delhi demanding the repeal of the three new farm laws, Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy on Tuesday charged that it was a ploy of the Modi government to destabilise the farmers rally.
Talking to news persons here, Mr Narayansamy said that it was done purposely to break the unity among the farmers. He said so far the farmers were on a peaceful agitation without giving any room for any eventuality and added that the Prime Minister is trying to destabilise the farmers agitation by citing this incident. But it will not succeed, he said adding that the farmers agitation is spreading all over the country. The PM should at least hereafter take steps to repeal the farm laws and cautioned that if any measures were taken to suppress the farmers agitation, India will have to face a massive agitation, he added.
