Political Relations Between Russia, North Korea Experiencing 'Renaissance' - Ambassador

MOSCOW, Nov 16 (Sputnik) Relations between Moscow and Pyongyang currently stand at a high level and can be described as a "renaissance" following a period of stagnation, Russian Ambassador to North Korea Alexander Matsegora said Thursday.
"Our political relations are now at a high level. Contacts between the leaders of our countries are being maintained. It can be said that our political relations are experiencing a renaissance after a certain stagnation, which we saw last year and the year before," Matsegora said in an interview with Petersburg – Channel 5.
Matsegora also recalled that Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and speaker of Russian parliament's upper house Valentina Matviyenko had visited North Korea this year.
