Political activities gearing up in Tripura district: Hilly areas still calm and serene

Ambassa (Tripura), Mar 21 (UNI) Regarding the ensuing general election political activities of different political parties have gained momentum though the hilly areas have remained calm and serene yet in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai here.
The general election is to start very soon and the district is to cast its mandate on 18th of April next for the East Tripura (ST reserved) parliamentary constituency. The act of wooing the voters are going on in full swing. Though big fishes are not yet started their campaign but th local leaders and workers are at full mood.
In power BJP has already completed its first round of poll campaigns. Congress is also on the move. And the selection of Pradyot Kishore as its President and recent inclusion of BJP heavyweight Subal Bhowmik in Congress have added to the momentum. Once dominating CPI(M) is also in the battle but with their skeletal numbers of workers and leaders.
