Kolkata, May 10 (UNI) The city police probing the April 29 fatal car mishap that killed actress/model Sonika Singh Chauhan, questioned surviving Tollywood actor Vikram Catterjee for over three hours mid-night last night to record his statement. Young actor Chatterjee was on the wheels when the car crash happened near Rashbehari Avenue around 0400 hours in south Kolkata. Chatterjee survived a head injury but the model-actress sitting on front seat died with multiple wounds. Chattejee, a promising actor, who was released by the hospital recently, deposed before the investigating police officials at Tollygunge police station between 2200 hrs to 0100 hours to record his statement. Sources have knowledge in the investigation said the actor has acknowledged that had taken liquor that night but he was not drunk and was able to drive a car. The actor, however, in a media conference on May 5 had said he had not taken any alcohol on April 28/29. Police intensified the investigation after people in social media mounted pressure on the authorities to ascertain the truth in the fatal accident that killed 28-year-old Sonika. Police had asked Vikram Chatterjee to record his statement by May 10. UNI PC BM
